Gold

The traditional choice, gold symbolizes everything that is special about jewelry. A gold Luxe ring will be a piece you’ll treasure for life. Gold by itself is too malleable and soft to be used in jewelry, so is always combined in alloys before being fashioned into your ideal design. Based on your budget and your lifestyle, you can set your ring in one of three karat levels across our gold range: 9 karat (9ct), 14 karat (14ct) or 18 karat (18ct). 9ct consists of 37.5% pure gold and 62.5% quality alloys, making it strong, durable and affordable. 14ct is 57.5% pure gold and alloys and offers a balance between style, durability and affordability. It has become a popular option as it is easy to wear. 18ct contains 75% pure gold with alloys, and is our most precious and luxurious gold option. Heavier due to its higher gold content, it will need regular polishing and cleaning to maintain its brilliant lustre. Luxe has three colors of gold to suit your ideal design: Yellow Gold, White Gold and Rose Gold. We achieve these hues by mixing pure gold based on the chosen carat weight with various alloys. When customizing your Luxe wedding ring, you can add details in Tantalum or Zirconium to create a striking look. Yellow Gold is classic and timeless, ensuring your chosen style will never date. The higher the carat weight, the stronger the golden hue will be. Yellow gold is particularly beautiful with gemstones. Modern and sleek, White Gold combines gold with alloys to strengthen and give its white glow. It is given a rhodium finish to brighten it, which will require occasional maintenance. It looks especially beautiful with high quality diamonds. For a design with an antique feel, warm Rose Gold is a great choice. We achieve the warm pink tones by adding copper to our alloy. This is an increasingly popular choice to give your design a unique and eye-catching finish.

Platinum

One of the world’s rarest metals, and a great choice of metal to have your Luxe ring crafted in as it will always hold its value. Platinum 950 with a combination of 95 per cent pure platinum and 5 per cent alloy is the perfect choice. Rings made from platinum are durable and will be with you a lifetime, while having a beautiful and natural white sheen. Luxe offers both Platinum 950 and Platinum 600, and which you choose will depend on your budget and lifestyle. Platinum 600 combines 60 per cent platinum with a 40 per cent mixture of other metals including tungsten. This gives it a slightly darker color and greater durability, being twice as hard as other metals. If you work with your hands and prefer a low maintenance metal, Platinum 600 will be the ideal choice. If a bright finish and high value are important to you, Platinum 950 will hold its white and lustrous finish and due to its purity is hypoallergenic.

Your Luxe ring is crafted from a wide range of precious and practical metals. The metal you choose will depend on your chosen design, your lifestyle, your personal taste and your budget. Luxe will always use only the highest quality and ethically sourced metals and materials to create your ring.

Tantalum

Tantalum is a very popular and sturdy blue-grey metal that has a distinctive look. With mines in South America and Australia, it is a rare metal that will hold its value. Masculine and modern, it looks fantastic combined with other metals, such as rose gold, in our two tone styles. It has great characteristics including being very durable and hypoallergenic.

Sterling Silver

Silver is a traditional precious metal long valued in jewelry, however like gold, it is soft on its own. Luxe uses Sterling Silver for all its silver rings for additional durability and shine. Budget friendly, silver looks great with gemstones with its white lustrous finish. Sterling Silver can tarnish over time so requires a little additional care.

Titanium

Titanium is lightweight and tough, making it great for rings on working hands. It is hypoallergenic for those that have sensitivity wearing jewelry. The drawback to these properties is that it cannot be resized. With a darker silver-grey hue than platinum or silver, it brings an edge to Luxe’s designs.

Zirconium

If you are seeking a dark black style, Zirconium is perfect for you. Starting out as a light grey metal, we expose it to high heat which gives it a satiny black finish. Zirconium is similar to titanium in strength, has hypoallergenic properties and is easy to wear. Pair zirconium with white diamonds to stand out or black diamonds for understated glamor.

Carbon Fiber

Made from organic polymers, carbon fiber is a modern take for traditional pieces. Carbon fiber can make up the whole ring for a strong black finish, or as in-lays so different light angles capture the intricacies of the weave. It is light and easy to wear, and up to 10 times stronger than steel. As an added bonus, carbon fiber is conflict-free and ethically sourced.

Stainless Steel

Stainless Steel may not be the first metal you consider when selecting your ring, however it has a beautiful appearance comparable to gold, silver and titanium alongside unique properties of its own. Durable, practical and strong, it’s also a great ethical choice, being manufactured of recycled materials and being completely recyclable. It is an affordable choice and won’t oxidize and change color over time, as Sterling Silver can.
